single take recording (january 2019). several passes over a single sequence modulating tempo and parameters each time, this is how i've recorded for about 5 years now but very rarely does each pass yield its own mix as this one did. in that way it feels special and is being presented without edits

along with the download are several photos taken with a sony mavica floppy disk digital camera while camping in mojave, ca, november 2018. sometimes the camera glitches out and takes really interesting photos

the final passes on terracotta (my personal favorite beginning around 25:00) feature randomly pulled excerpts from a cassette picked up at a thrift store on the same trip the photos were taken. each time ive spontaneously mixed in a tape from this trip into tracks (something i've done a lot lately) they are always in key somehow despite having no idea what part of the tape i'm about to play
